What’s New
UK Date Format
All dates across Elate now display in UK format (Day/Month), bringing the platform in line with how your team naturally reads and records dates. The date range button has also been given a border so it is clearly identifiable as a clickable element.Overtime Associated with a Support Recipient
You can now link overtime directly to a specific support recipient for more precise tracking and reporting. The Add/Edit Overtime form includes a new Support Recipient field, and associated overtime appears on event cards in the calendar, in CSV downloads, and on both the Support Recipient and Team Member calendars.Expanded Team Member Profiles
Team Member profiles now hold a much richer set of information, including DBS Check details, Health Information (NHS Number, GP details, Allergies, Medical Conditions, Vaccination History), Key Contacts, and Additional Information (Languages Spoken, Driver’s Licence, Immigration Status, and Uniform Details).
Support Activity Details Improvements
The support activity detail view has been refreshed for better clarity:- The assigned team member’s address has been removed from the view to reduce clutter.
- A new Checkout button is displayed in Elate green for quick, visible access.
- The support recipient is now positioned above the carer for a more natural reading order.
- A priority level pill for the support plan is shown at a glance.
- Completed activities display a read-only summary with an edit option so you can review details without accidentally making changes.
New Miscellaneous Support Type
A new Miscellaneous support type has been added to handle tasks that fall outside predefined categories. It includes six tasks, giving your team a flexible catch-all option without needing to misuse other support types.New Independence Training Support Type
A new Independence Training support type has been added for enabling service providers. It includes task options to Encourage, Support, Prompt, and Remind, allowing for more accurate and tailored support planning for individuals working towards greater independence.Always Resuscitate Highlighted Green
The Always Resuscitate option on the Support Recipient profile is now highlighted in green on the profile view page, giving it the same visual prominence as the DNR option, which displays in red. Both statuses are now immediately visible without scanning the full profile.Account Status for Team Members
A new Account Status dropdown has been added to the Team Member Profile Settings. You can set a team member’s status to Active (default), Inactive, or Prospect. Selecting a status automatically moves the team member to the appropriate tab on the Team List page, with Prospects now appearing in their own dedicated Prospects tab.Bug Fixes
- Typographical Errors — Corrected typos in the Physical Needs Assessment, Financial Needs Assessment, and Ethnic Types fields.
- Incident & Safeguarding Save Behaviour — After saving, you are now redirected to the Incident/Safeguarding list page, a toast notification confirms the save, and the Cancel button has been relabelled “Exit” for clarity.
- Manual Checkout of Future Events — You can now manually check out of future events in Support Plans and leave a note, and you can edit future unchecked events regardless of schedule changes.
- Care Needs Assessment Save and Return — The Save and Return button now saves your current answer before navigating away, so no data is lost mid-assessment.
- Drag to Unassigned Activities — You can remove a carer from a support activity by dragging it to the Unassigned Activities row. Single carers are removed immediately; if multiple carers are assigned, a confirmation prompt appears first.
- Recurring Activity Carer Removal — When a carer is removed from a recurring support activity using “This and following events,” the activity now correctly moves to Unassigned Activities instead of remaining on the carer’s schedule.
- Past Event Date Editing — Editing dates on past events no longer clears the Past Event Status field. The existing status (Overdue or Completed) is retained when you update the date.
- Emergency Contact Text Removed — The Emergency Contact label has been removed from the support recipient profile view, as there was no associated input field. You can use the Key Contacts section to add emergency contacts instead.
- Title Field Now Optional — The Title field on the support recipient profile is now optional, and any entered title is correctly retained after saving.
- Allergy Sub-Fields Now Optional — All sub-fields in the Add/Edit Allergy section are now optional, allowing partial allergy records to be saved without errors.
- Inactive Team Members Fully Restricted — Inactive team members no longer appear in the Schedule Calendar, the Choose Carer step during activity creation, or the Schedule Filter List. Any upcoming activities assigned to them are automatically unassigned, and inactive team members can no longer log in to Elate.
- Overdue Medication Status Indicator — Overdue medications that have not been recorded now display an amber status indicator, making them visually distinct from medications with a confirmed status (Missed, Refused, or Not Administered).
