As a manager or admin, setting up your organisation’s Elate account is the first step to getting your team coordinated and your records in one place. Your account gives you full control over who has access, how the platform is configured for your service, and how your subscription is managed. This guide walks you through every step from creating the account to inviting your first team members.

Creating Your Organisation Account

There are two ways your organisation account can be created — either the Elate team sets it up for you as part of onboarding, or you can sign yourself up through the pricing page.
1

Choose How to Create Your Account

Option A — Set up by the Elate team: If you are going through a guided onboarding, the Elate team will create your admin account on your behalf. You will need to provide the email address you want to use as your admin login. This email does not have to belong to a specific individual — it can be a shared or role-based address such as admin@yourorganisation.co.uk.Option B — Self sign-up: If you prefer to get started independently, visit the Elate pricing page and follow the steps below.
2

Choose a Plan (Self Sign-Up)

Go to elateuk.com/pricing and select the plan that best fits your organisation’s size and requirements. Complete the plan setup and payment details. Once done, you will be redirected to the account creation page automatically.
3

Create Your Account

On the account creation page, enter the following:
  • Your business name
  • Your Super Admin email address
  • A strong password (see the security guidance below)
Click Create an Account. You are now in — congratulations!
4

Complete Your Profile

After your account is created, complete your profile by adding a valid phone number and any other required details. Keeping this up to date ensures your team can reach you and that your account information is accurate.
5

Change Your Temporary Password (if applicable)

If the Elate team created your account, you will have been given a temporary password. Change it to something secure as soon as you log in for the first time.To reset your password, go to the Elate login page at app.elateuk.com and click Forgot Password underneath the sign-in button. Enter your email address and follow the instructions in the email you receive.

Securing Your Account

Choosing a strong password is one of the most important things you can do to protect your organisation’s data. Following UK Cyber Security best practices, your password should:
  • Be at least 12 characters long
  • Include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Avoid common words, personal information, or predictable sequences (such as 123456 or password)
  • Be unique — do not reuse a password you use for any other account or service
Example of a strong password: J&9kLm$8x#Pq2! — randomised but memorable when created using a passphrase method.
Consider using a password manager such as Bitwarden, 1Password, or the one built into your browser. Password managers generate and store strong, unique passwords for every account, so you never have to remember them all. They are free or low-cost and are strongly recommended for anyone managing sensitive care data.

Inviting Your Team

Once your account is active, you can invite team members to collaborate in Elate. Each user’s permissions can be customised to control what they can see and do within the platform. Once invited, your team members will receive an email invitation, can log in, set up their own profile, and adjust their personal preferences.
See the Team Member Setup guide to understand what your team members will experience when they receive their invitation.

Customising Your Account

As the admin, you can personalise and configure Elate to suit how your service operates. This includes:
  • Updating your organisation profile with your service’s details
  • Adding team members and assigning appropriate permission levels
  • Adding support recipients (your clients)
  • Creating support activities that reflect the types of care your team delivers
Each invited team member can also personalise their own profile once they log in.

Managing Your Subscription

You can view and manage your Elate subscription at any time from the Billing section of your account. The Billing section is available to Super Admin users only and allows you to:
  • Update your payment method, including setting up a Direct Debit if this has not already been done
  • View and download your billing history
  • Download invoices for your records
To access Billing, click your account name in the top or side navigation, then select Billing from the dropdown menu. This option is only visible to users with Super Admin permissions.

Join the Elate Community

Once you are set up, consider joining the Elate Community to get more out of the platform. Community members receive exclusive deals and opportunities, tips and advice from industry experts, and updates on new features. You can also submit product feedback directly to the Elate team to help shape future improvements.
