Your settings for the Elate Care app live on Your profile. To open it, tap your photo at the top of any tab. Who can do this: anyone signed in to the Elate Care app. These settings apply to you only.

What is on Your profile

Your name and email are at the top. Tap your photo to change it: choose Take a photo or Choose from photos. Under ACCOUNT & APP you will find: Further down are your Secure chat settings and Sign out.

Notifications

Tap Notifications to open What reaches you.
  • The first card says whether This phone can be notified. If it is not, tap Allow, or Settings to change it in your phone’s settings.
  • All my notifications switches everything off in one go. The switches below then show as off, and come back as they were when you switch notifications on again. The app still shows your day.
  • Quiet hours holds email and push notifications until the window ends, 19:00 to 07:00 unless you change it with From and Until. The bell in the app is never held back.
  • Pause for 24 hours stops notifications for a day. Tap Resume to end the pause early.
  • Below that, each kind of notification has its own In-app, Push and Email switches, where that channel is offered. Use organisation default puts one back to how your organisation set it.
If your organisation has switched notifications off for everyone, the screen says so and the switches do nothing until it is switched back on. One kind of notification is always sent: A new device asking for your chats, marked Still sent while notifications are off, so you can approve your own new device. Only its own switches stop it, and it also gets through quiet hours and a pause. New chat messages reach your phone as push notifications by default. Push notifications never say who they are about. See Your notifications.

App lock

App lock is off until you turn it on. When it is on, the app asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint when you open it, and again when you come back after more than 2 minutes away. You can use your phone’s passcode instead.
1

Open App lock

On Your profile, tap App lock.
2

Turn it on

Tap App lock on. Your phone asks you to confirm with your face or fingerprint first.
To turn it off, tap App lock off. If your phone has no face or fingerprint set up, the screen says “Set up biometrics in your device settings to enable app lock.” When the app is locked, tap the Unlock with button (for example Unlock with your fingerprint) or Use device unlock. Records waiting on your phone keep sending while it is locked. Sign out instead is there if you cannot unlock, but it will not sign you out while records are still waiting.

Appearance

Tap Appearance and choose Use device setting, Light or Dark. Use device setting is the starting choice and follows your phone.

Delete account

Tap Delete account, then Ask to delete my account, and confirm with Send request. Your organisation’s owner or an administrator reviews it. See Deleting your account.

Help and support

Tap Help and support to open it. For help with your account, visits or saved records, contact your care team. You also see:
  • Help centre, which opens these guides in a sheet over the app
  • Signed in as, with your email and organisation
  • Privacy policy and Terms and conditions, which open on the Elate website
  • About this app, with the version and build. If you ring the office about the app, these are the lines they will ask for

Sign out

1

Tap Sign out

On Your profile, tap Sign out. The app first tries to send anything still on your phone.
2

Confirm

On Sign out of Elate?, tap Yes, sign out. To take your chats off this phone as well, tick Also remove my chats from this phone first.
If records are still waiting, the app says Let’s send your work first. Tap Send records when you have signal. You cannot sign out until they have gone, because the office has no other copy. Signing out clears the visits and people saved on your phone. Signing in again brings them back.
